Shadie Copeland began her architectural lighting design career in New York City, where she developed a strong sense of design and a keen eye for detail. Throughout her career, Shadie has been exposed to a wide variety of design styles and has worked with many of the country’s top architects and interior designers.
Shadie’s passion for lighting and its ability to transform spaces is at the core of her daily commitment and dedication as a designer. Having also practiced as an interior designer, Shadie brings her understanding of the design process and project management to every project on which she works.
Shadie received a Master of Science, Interior Design degree from Florida State University, as well as a Bachelor of Art, Studio Art degree from Furman University. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and has been actively involved with the International Association of Lighting Designers and Designers Lighting Forum.
Her accomplishments includes high-end residential, museums, libraries, as well as residential and commercial landscape lighting. Projects include the World Trade Center Lighting Memorial (New York City), the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum (Dallas), the Gagosian Gallery (Beverly Hills), Chelsea Arts Tower Private Gallery (New York City), Duke University Medical Quadrangle (Durham), Four Seasons Resort Hualalai (Hawaii), the award winning Four Seasons Hotel Bogota (Colombia) and the Beechwood Art Gallery (Newport). She has also designed and completed multiple unique luxury residential properties throughout the United States and Caribbean.
